This thesis discusses how character-based Civics learning is done through democratic personal learning processes in the classroom, an overview of developing students' democratic personalities, and whether students have an influence on students' interest in learning in Civics subjects at SMP Negeri 3 Siborongborong. Meanwhile, this research aims to find out the process of forming students' democratic personal character through the process of learning Civics lessons at SMP Negeri 3 Siborongborong. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. There are two variables examined in the research, namely the teacher as variable The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation. To find the first problem formulation, namely a description of teacher professionalism in the learning process in the classroom using questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation to take pictures during the learning process. The second is a description of students' learning interest in biology subjects using questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaire results obtained were then described for each item with descriptive percentages and analyzed using simple regression. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis. Results of descriptive analysis Based on research data, 4 students (37%) scored <85 in the good category, 5 students (16%) in the low category and 5 students (26%) in the very low category. Meanwhile, 16 students (21%) fall into the high category. Based on the tests carried out, it can be concluded that the students' learning outcomes are very good and they have achieved mastery in learning.
